What People are Saying

Two boys. 8yrs old and 5yrs old. We are from Beaverton, OR. My 8yrs old was diagnosis with ALL when he was 4yrs old. I have used a couple of these comfort positions naturally but didn’t know the name or a few important aspects to help with safety of my son for years now. Watching this video has given me several different new positions to try as he is now older and I am not needing to “hold” him like I once did. I now have other comfort position options to help him with blood draws. Thank you for this info. We are going to try a few at clinic next week. Classes like this really matter, and honestly I wish I would have watched this video years ago. Thank you

I have three kids, one of which was traumatized from being held down to have his eyes dilated. I wish I had known about comfort positions before that appointment. This class was wonderful. The videos and pictures of each of the comfort positions were perfect. The content was relevant and engaging. I would recommend this class to other parents, especially parents of young children and special needs kiddos. Thank you for offering this class!

I have two children, ages 7 and 4. My 7 year old has Down syndrome which means we have a lot of medical experiences. We live in Omaha, NE. We will utilize all this information to validate and empower me to advocate for my involvement with my kiddos. The app seems so amazing so I can revisit information again in the future! I would absolutely recommend this master class to any parents or guardians expecting parents!

I am a parent to two boys (ages 3.5 years old and 19 months). I am also a Child Life Specialist. I am working to educate the larger nursing staff about comfort positions. This class gave me language to use, videos to reference, and additional position suggestions (like those that can be used for procedures that require the patient to lie down). Comfort positions are an important part of the coping toolbox that WORK and should be universally implemented. I recommend this class for clinicians and parents alike; I trust that parents will feel empowered to advocate for their children and that staff will feel armed with the knowledge to enhance a patient's and family's experience.

As a medical mom, I wish this masterclass was available to me when we were at the beginning of our medical journey. It is so helpful to see these comfort positions in real action. Katie validates all the challenges parents face during medical procedures.
